An antique tortoise mechanical spittoon by Golden & Jacobson Chicago with patent Nov. 10, 1891. Copper plated cast iron and steel body - hammered solid copper bowl lid. Step on the head and the top shell lifts to reveal the spittoon catch can.
Size 11" x 14" x 4" tall... weight 5.25 lbs.
Very Good intact condition and working. This estate item has the original patina and paint loss to can. A nice example.
