Vintage Kitchenware & Cookware Product Information, Ads & Recipes
Olde Kitchen is expanding... you can now shop for vintage blankets, bedding, apparel and other textiles... look for the "Patzi" collections!
My mother Patzi (patziblankets.com) turned 85 years of age August 2020. A dynamic lady, she has been running her own online stores for vintage blankets/linens, jewelry, apparel and finery for some years. As she would like to slow down a bit and focus on her crafting projects, her online store inventory has transferred here.
You will find clean quality blankets for the bed, throws for the chair and some cutter DIY re-purpose craft wool blankets as well.
Lately, my femme fatale has been baking me almond flour muffin cakes. As I find myself on a low carb diet, these cakes are my one bake good concession. Nuts, but no processed grains.
We use this antique #5 gem pan... 8 oval cups. The pan is unbranded as to the maker - in a Waterman style. Fun shape to play with.
The almond flour is very versatile and a bit sweeter than standard wheat flours.... add fruit or add cheese... use sour cream or use yogurt... use butter or use oil. Recipes can be found online.... Trader Joe's for the flour.
The photo is of a new old stock boxed 5 piece hostess set by Reed & Barton Rebacraft - made in Japan... the pattern is stamped TARA HALL. This is a mystery pattern that I find no mention of online or in book. Most likely a smaller production amount was produced.
I suspect this pattern was a play off the more common Olde Lexington by Rebacraft. The sugar spoon, ladle and master butter seem to be the same between the patterns - the meat fork and pierced serving spoon are different between the two patterns - you will find the Tara Hall versions being sold as Olde Lexington.
So, if you are a dealer or a collector with arcane interest in stainless flatware, I hope this helps!
In 1950, one could buy a 4 quart Wear Ever aluminum pressure cooker for only $8.89 postage paid!
This was from New Home Supply Co. - Washington DC... before the internet, it was mail order direct to the customer. Home Supplies from the Factory to You - selling all sorts of housewares and appliances.
This is an image from the box of a Revere Ware stainless steel cookie sheet... it shows all the baking products produced in the 1980-90's. Pastry Trays, Cake Pans, Cookie Sheets, Roasting Pan, Muffin Pans, Pie Pans.
A helpful guide if you collect this era bake ware by Revere.
