1940's vintage apron from estate of items Civil War forward. Made by owner of estate - some areas are painted enhanced with embroidery - Some flowers embroidered with trailing vines. Has front pocket and bias binding enhanced round over head curved pieced on strap. Note double thread detail on dress.
Fabric is cotton similar to feel of flour sack showing some variation of whiteness. Remember it was WW2 and fabric scarce! Owner had many hobbies including sewing and this apron appears a sewing project. It has been laundered but if used not much.
