this beautiful vintage antique small linen table cloth is I believe 1930s 40s era. It is from an estate of items from Civil War forward - a family who spent many hours embroidering monogramming their cherished linens and brought them to Florida from Ohio in early 1940s The photos do not do justice to this lovely small cloth. It is I would say dignified understated lovely.
Heavy old linen with slight slubs and nice weave
8 focal embroidered designs in satin stitch I believe silk thread. Yellow drawn work between forming a line. Hand stitched hem also done in drawn work with great skill.
