This is an antique child's sampler from an estate with name of maker Fanny L McConnel embroidered "Wrought in the eight year of her age A D 1816." There are words of an old hymn with date 1820, alphabets in various stitches, crown shape with flowers and birds. There are missing hand work stitches and a hole at bottom of separated stitches of the fabric. The sides are hand stitched for narrow hem, top and bottom appear to be loomed.
Needs airing..has been packed in estate - not smoke or pet but packing.
