An attractive estate decor item... antique brass repousse oval planter jardiniere with no maker marks - bearded man or Bacchus handles, floral flowers and coat of arms with Fleur de Lis, cannon balls, well, etc.
The 95 year old previous owner inherited this from his brother, an antique dealer importer of European items from England in the 1950-80's. I would tend to think English or French origin with the Fleur de Lis. The balls are a later decor addition. Some carved wood, gourd, seeds and composite.
Size 10.5" x 16.75" x 6" tall... combined weight 7.75 lbs.
The planter is in good antique condition, with solder split on bottom (see photo) and a pot ring and some paint drops inside.
