Fare find from estate - partial photograph plates from H C Perleberg Publisher 1890 First Series FESTONS - listing includes Title Page and 50 of the original 66 plates published in the First Series of 1890. Long packed antique condition - some chipped edges, some browning to edges, minor staining - all mostly to frame/border or back area - photographs mostly in good intact condition - amazingly good condition for age with maybe several having small note of age or from origin.
Plates include variety of subjects including animal specimen - fox game birds, lobster, fish - also botanical, shells, floral, musical instruments, hunting weapons, etc. - fine source for graphic artists, silver makers, decorative and jewelry artisans. All but 1 Plate has originally marked number - 1 number not readable flaw at corner. If you need numbers of missing plates or included plates, please email for list.
