WWII Italian Mannlicher Carcano M1938 Folding Bayonet Knife & Scabbard

A vintage WWII era Italian M1938 folding bayonet/knife for the M1938 Mannlicher Carcano short service rifle.

The knife is stamped R with 5 in diamond shape... and serial number L 0046. No marks on sheath.

Size 7" blade - 11-3/8" overall bayonet... 8-3/4" folded... in sheath 12-1/4"... combined weight 13.7 ounce.

Original as found condition estate item... it has not been cleaned or altered from original patina. Working condition - the push button spring is strong, the blade latches correctly. Good snap when fit in to sheath. Obvious loss of black finish on sheath... the wood grips are tight with common nick wear and one light hairline crack.... some rust to steel surfaces - the blade is sharp.
