Hand Loomed Wall Hanging Rug - Andean or Central America - 26 1/2" X 42"

A striking vintage wool wall hanging or rug, hand loomed depicting what is believed to be are South American symbols? The piece has an ivory background with black, rose, rust, gold & turquoise colors. 

This wall art was found in the estate of naval captain who spent much time in South & Central America in the 1970s, This is one of several found unused in closet. It is in great condition with vibrant colors.
