Colorful vintage estate piece of exquisite Ukrainian fiber art. Black heavy woven cotton base multi color borders in orange, yellow, green and black. Embroidered overlay vibrant flowers. Hand stitched hem ends. Lovely decorator item can be used as a table blanket, cover shawl, or head cover.
I do not know name for this type of intricate handwork. Found in the estate of a local Ukrainian woman, who had many wonderful textiles from her homeland.
