A vintage 1985 studio stoneware pottery bowl by noted American ceramist Val Cushing 1931-2013. Dappled black/brown stoneware with raised and incised concentric rings. Inscribed signed and dated on bottom.

Easy to see why Mr. Cushing is held in such high regard. The precision of technic and his eye for balance to design, really stands out with this bowl.
