Stiles-Kem Corp Bronze/brass Glass Cylinder Water or Other Filter 7" Bowl

An older vintage brass or bronze filter with glass sediment bowl by Stiles-Kem Corp. Waukegan Ill. No model number. I would think this is for water filtration - note the plastic line stubs. 

Size aprx. 9" overall height... 7" tall x 4" diameter glass cylinder... weight 5.6 lbs.

Unrestored condition with original patina and such... intact glass bowl... may have had a removable filter cartridge?
